Data collection at GEA

Following months of preparation, the CIRCD team has embarked on a new research project with GEA (one of the world’s leading suppliers of technology for the food processing industry and a wide range of other process industries) about virtual practice and team collaboration.

Four specific leadership service teams from within the GEA group are participating in this project, and data collection is arranged in four different GEA locations: Denmark, Ireland, France and Italy.

At each location, a CIRCD project member is in charge of collecting data together with students, who are participating in the course Communication in Global Contexts at KU. At the time of writing, we are at our locations, collecting data. By December 13, the outcome of our endeavours will be presented to GEA.

Maria and Sofie (doing fieldwork at the GEA location in Montigny-le-Bretonneux, France) are working hard collecting data, conducting interviews etc., transferring data and documenting it all.
Whether there was time to spend 15 minutes in the hotel bar in the evenings will remain a secret.
