New book from Brian Due
A new book from Brian Due demonstrates how to combine multimodal analysis, interaction analysis and video ethnography when one is interested in studying social interaction, sense-making and identity creation in various social settings.
This method focuses not only on the spoken words but also studies other modalities for instance gaze, gestures, mimics and artefacts. And in order to be able to perform this analysis, one needs to collect data via video ethnography.
Multimodal interaktionsanalyse gives a research-based introduction to the most important aspects of using these methods and conducting projects involving video ethnography and multimodal interaction analysis.
